What does pre-wash hair oil do?
Pre-wash hair oil creates a protective barrier, reducing protein loss and dryness which happens as a result of shampooing. Our pre-wash hair oil has been formulated with highly nourishing cold-press oils with a range of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals that penetrate deeply into the hair shaft and coat the cuticle which improves the manageability, appearance and condition of hair over time.
How do you use pre-wash hair oil?
Brush hair through, apply the oil to scalp, mid lengths and ends and then brush through to work the oil throughout the hair. For silk & glow to work at its best, we recommend leaving it in for 30 mins but you can see great results in less time, it depends on a range of factors including your hair type. Shampoo thoroughly, sometimes hair will need a double or triple cleanse depending on hair type. Then condition as normal. Each persons hair is unique so we recommend trialing the best frequency of use.

Our hair oil is formulated & manufactured in the UK with unique blend of the highest quality ingredients all incorporated because of their benefits for hair. Many companies use silicones to bulk out their products and to provide slip to the hair. Therefore, we do not formulate with silicone, all of our products are and will remain silicone-free.

After trying many oils on the market and testing with a wider community of users, we found that many pre-wash hair oils felt too heavy on fine or porous hair. By formulating with lighter premium oils packed with antioxidants, fatty acids and vitamins we have created a hair oil that benefits those with fine hair and porous hair.

Ilumier Silk & Glow is designed to be used on both the scalp and ends. We have extensively researched how to best apply hair oil before a wash & have designed the pump to make it easy to apply to the scalp, mid and ends.

A nourished scalp creates the optimal foundation for hair to look thicker and healthier, lightweight oils penetrate the cuticle, filling in microscopic gaps along the hair shaft. When the cuticle is reinforced before a stripping product like shampoo, strands are less likely to snap helping you to maintain your hair length and density over time.

While many candles use low-grade, low-performance wax, our blend delivers both environmental benefits and a higher-quality burn.

Our jars are made from cold-rolled steel, which is stronger, lighter, and infinitely recyclable - unlike glass or ceramic jars.
